The Birds

2012.01.25

Normally, with my cuckoo Italian family, birds bring bad luck.  I really wanted to break that trend and when I saw this Forever 21+ jacket on one of my favorite bloggers, GabiFresh, I HAD to find it!  I have had it for over a year now, and I wear it often.  It is the perfect compliment to an all black outfit and it is just curious enough to be a conversation piece.  I paired it with pants and my favorite Tahari Flats and a plethora of bangles on Monday for the start of my work week.  What do you think?

I love this outfit.  These pants were such a find at Target.  They are a close replica of pants that were at Lane Bryant that were twice the price.  I have already worn them in a few outfits and I am absolutely sure they will be a summer staple.  The tank, I had gotten at Forever 21+ and the sweater was a Gap purchase many years ago!  The necklace was a gift from my mother a few years ago.  She makes beaded jewelry as do I and we make a ton of our own stuff.  I love making  jewelry and now it is a distant memory.  Maybe I will teach Mazie when she is a bit older!

What do you think of this outfit?

I am thrilled with it!  It was super comfy and I really will revisit it!  I am so excited that I am finally documenting my outfits.  I forget them a bit too easily!

Animals, Insects and Flowers, Oh My!

2011.03.05

Lately, I have been in touch with my inner hippie.  My flower child is coming to the front of all things fashion in my closet.  The things that I am coveting have animals on them, animal prints, insects, Native American Prints, anything that is bold and beautiful is catching my eye.  I went shopping and indulged in some Polyester today at Faith 21 and got some goodies.  I also have some other goodies in my line of vision that must be mine.  SOON!  What do you think came home with me and what do you think I am watching?
