My tales of shoe woe continue. I have been able to start rebuilding my shoe collection again. I am taking into consideration just exactly what I need. Two pairs of ballet flats for work and play, sneakers for my Juicy track suits and a few pairs of boots. That’s it. For me, that makes me happy. I am a bag girl, and by now, my faithful reader, you know this.
The ballet flats that recently found their way into my closet are by Tahari. They came to me via DSW in Staten Island. The pair of Naturalizer flats I bought while pregnant are basically destroyed and I cannot go out looking like a mom without some style. I fell in love with the Black Tahari Valerie. They are absolutely beautiful on and I adore them. I have to confess that when I wear black flats, I feel like Audrey Hepburn. I feel like a movie star walking on a cloud. I think it is because the shoes are so delicate and thin and hug your feet perfectly. I tried them on and bought them immediately in black. I am now thinking that I need a pair of pewter shoes to go with everything that doesn’t go with black, so I went to DSW and spy the Veronica flat. Piperlime has them for $89. DSW for $59. I wonder where I will get mine from? I am also eyeing other Tahari shoes that are embellished on the toe. Maybe for a treat here and there. Flats are always the shoes I grab and go with and that definitely won’t change with the princess here. I am going to need to be able to run after her!
