I don’t know why I love February so much.. it is because Love is in the air, or that I have an entire week off with great sales and no holidays? Is it because I have a new Valentine in my life? Who knows.. I was never one to gush over Valentine’s day because you should be loving all year, not just one day, but hey, it is a reason for a gift!

It gives me the opportunity to wear pink and red and not be ashamed about it and to be extra smushy with my princess and just to be extra gushy. What can I say, I am a romantic at heart. I figured since today was February 1, I should wear something pink … so here it goes. I found this when I was Shopping my Closet! I bought it a few years ago at the Liz Claiborne outlet. What a great find then and again today! Oh, and I think I paid $10 for it? Perfecto!

January Ends

One month closer to spring and the flowers and all the fun things that come along with it! I ended the month with black and white. I love lace and I paired my lace Simply Be tunic with a suit jacket I had snagged from Lane Bryant years ago. I added a three vintage pins on the lapel and there was my outfit for the day. I happened to love it and it may be a “go to” in the future.

Yesterday we had a mismatch day at work because we are trying to stop bullying in the school (huge problem). So I decided to wear a black and white plaid shirt with black and white stripes. It kind of matches and there isn’t too much of a “wow that is so not good together” factor, but I did my duty… What do you think?

Black and White Wednesday

Today’s challenge was a black and white print blazer that was sitting in my closet and hasn’t seen the light of day in a while. I happen to love this blazer and needed to wear it! I paired it with my black go to pants (what girl doesn’t have those) and a shark-hem tunic. I also added some amazing green suede booties that are just perfect for the task. Pile on some hand made geodes and a rocking cutting edge ring and I was ready for my day.

Sequin Tuesday

I had to do it again. I have been having a week full of sparkle and I needed to show off with some awesome sequins. I happened to have worn this Sejour jacket just Saturday night and I ROCKED IT! with a cute Dana Buchman by Kohl’s brown sequin tank and skinnie jeans and my knee boots from Duo.

I thought pairing it with a cute gap tunic dress, leggings and my Duo riding boots in Camel really would make this outfit pop and let me tell you, it did. I think that it is totally fine to dress up during the day and add a bit of sparkle. Why should all the ‘evening’ clothes be reserved for parties?

What do you think? Does it work?

The Birds

Normally, with my cuckoo Italian family, birds bring bad luck. I really wanted to break that trend and when I saw this Forever 21+ jacket on one of my favorite bloggers, GabiFresh, I HAD to find it! I have had it for over a year now, and I wear it often. It is the perfect compliment to an all black outfit and it is just curious enough to be a conversation piece. I paired it with pants and my favorite Tahari Flats and a plethora of bangles on Monday for the start of my work week. What do you think?

I have been MIA

I am SO sorry that I have been MIA. I have so many awesome outfits to show you and I will start with last Friday, the 13th. I am not a phobic when it comes to Friday the 13th, but I think it is an eerie and spooky day.

I wore my Missoni for Target ruana and an Asos dolman sleeve t-shirt that was the perfect terracotta color and complimented it with an old wooden and gold tone Banana Republic necklace that I had gotten on clearance. I added smoky quartz and gold earrings from Etsy and I felt like a million bucks. Oh, I think I want to bring back pins… thoughts?

Lacey Days

Still working on the “Shop The Closet Challenge” that I have provided for myself.. and this is the outfit that I came up with … A Lovedrobe Lace Tunic and my Lee Jeans from Kohl’s (I definitely need to get a few more pairs) a Brown velveteeen blazer from QVC and a bunch of accessories picked up here and there.. Etsy, street vendors, etc. I really love this outfit today because I feel tall and slim and really romantic and pretty. I know that probably sounds goofy, but I think that when you look good, you feel good!

What do you think? Did I meet the challenge?

Damask and Chains

I am absolutely in love with my outfit today and so are many people who have seen me. I got this shirt so long ago, I barely know how much I spent on it, but I am sure it wasn’t a lot. I paired it with black ponte pants, which is my basic bottom and a 3/4 sleeve jacket that I had my eye on in Nordstrom for ages. All of these purchases are old and are helping me in my “Shop The Closet” Challenge I have created for myself..

What do you think of the outfit and the bling to go along with it?

Sequin Tuesday…

In trying to start a new tradition, I think I may have created a monster. I walked into work this morning and a good friend told me I was so sparkly, I was having a Twilight Moment… I am pretty sure that was a compliment, and even if it wasn’t, it will not deter me from wearing my sparkle
